Bridges of Southeast Asia
Indonesia to crowdfund new capital, Vientiane to Hà Tĩnh railway, locations for Thai 'Land Bridge', and more construction, transport, and infrastructure news in Southeast Asia.
I have a list of article ideas that I look at each week, and some of them are in an “easy” pile for when I think I won’t have time to do a long article. This week I thought I had an easy job of listing the longest bridges in Southeast Asia. It turns out though that elevated highways are counted as bridges, though not everyone agrees. There is also conflicting information regarding bridge lengths. Researching new topics also sends me down rabbit holes, so what I think will take a couple of hours ends up taking a day.
This week I’ve compiled a list of the longest bridges in Southeast Asia, which will support some other bridge-related articles I’m working on. And I have also started a Bridges landing page if you want to see more bridge-related articles.
