The construction report you've been waiting for

Sihanoukville construction report, PNR Bicol to begin construction Q1 2022, and more transport and infrastructure news from around Southeast Asia.

A presumptuous title, I know. And if you know my blogging style, you know I am not one for clickbait titles. Out of all the places that are changing in Southeast Asia, Sihanoukville is the one that elicits the strongest reactions. If you do a Google search for “Sihanoukville”, news articles about what has happened there recently outnumber the usual clutter of online travel agents. And the first result I see is an article saying why they don’t go.

Of course, I had to go and see for myself. I went to Sihanoukville for four days and walked around everywhere. If you saw me walking around this what my face looked like most of the time…

This week’s article is a construction report for Sihanoukville, listing projects under construction, and a gallery of abandoned projects. While I was walking around I started thinking about how Sihanoukville could fix itself, so that might be another article in the future.
