The fantasy tram of Bali
Dispatches from Southeast Asia: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. News: A tram proposal for Bali, new HCMC airport opening date, and dysfunctional infrastructure as a tourist attraction.
Greetings from Saigon! I'm back from my visa run/infrastructure inspection tour of Bali. I have a few posts in draft about Bali that I won't get finished this week, so expect to see more Bali content in the next month or so.
I'm still getting by with the one-month visa for Vietnam, which is all that is being issued at the moment. This is at least making me plan trips in advance, and I will be going north next week for some construction and railway stories.
This week's subscriber issue includes a fantasy(?) tram in Bali, tracking the opening date of the second HCMC airport, and the celebration of dysfunctional railways of Southeast Asia.
